Anyone play Gears of War 4 yet?

I was a big fan of gears one and two. Just got an xbone. Thinking about picking up either gears or dark souls.

Highly recommend. But I'm a huge fan of the series.
It's as good as Gears 3 (which I think is the best in the series).

I have never played any of the games. I got gears ultimate edition. I like it a lot. How does 4 compare to Ultimate Edition?

I liked the campaign but the end of the game is crap. You have no idea it's coming then it just ends. It's clearly a setup for Gears 5, but without being able to jump immediately into it, it's tough to say what the payoff is going to be.

Started playing this weekend and am still on act 1. Playing on insane and it makes me want to punch a baby

During Act I, I died probably 15+ times on insane. It's ridiculous.

Defending the base now where it's similar to horde mode. I THINK it's the last round but it has the giant turret robots and then flying things come late. I died like 6 times on that part alone
