Ok, say I want to run this old Champions League-winning formation that I've researched on Zonal Marking and used on FM (I know that won't necessarily translate into FIFA success, but bear with me):

---------ST----------
AM----AM----------
---CM---CM----RM
-LB--CB--CB--RB-
--------GK-----------

Say I want Rooney at AMC and Kagawa at AML, Valencia at RM and RVP at striker.

With United's current roster, I'd have to get two CM's, an energetic player and a defensive power? (In FM, I can give two people in identical positions different roles and strategies.) Where would a guy like Carrick fit? Should he just be a backup?

P.S. I also want to sell Evans (because I hate him) and replace him with a young CB that can backup. Anyone have any suggestions...at least a 75, max age 23?

I believe he's a 72 for me already, but Jon Flanagan starts at 70 and is 19, plus you can probably get him fairly cheap

Jesus, Raheem Sterling has 84 potential. Good thing he's on my subs list every match and usually plays, kid is a beast.

So, I played my first game of FIFA 13 today.

I just did a simple friendly against the CPU. I was Madrid, they were Barca (yeah, I know lame, but I just wanted to test out Madrid). I played on world class with six minute halves.

I won 16-0.

The game was so fricking easy. It basically took one pass for a goal. I think Di Maria had one bad touch that cost me a goal, but the goal was a joke.

CR7, Benzema, Modric, and Alonso all got ratings of 9.9. Ozil and Di Maria got 9.8.

Ronaldo had seven goals and four assists.

I had 26 shots with 21 on goal. I understand I played with Madrid, but why was the game so fricking easy? I still played against Barca.

The weird thing is that not that I am not that amazing at FIFA. I am decent, but rockchalk is definitely better than me.

I thought it was weird that happened. I have never scored that many goals ever.

i think 13 has made finding superstars slightly too easy again. they need more rare potential stars but progression like 2013

I can see this. I usually spend the money to get the best scouts. My youth academy is full right now with 2 16 y/o and the rest split evenly with 14 and 15 y/o. I'd say 10 of them are between 64-74 OVR and have potential of 91-94. That's pretty unrealistic. And that was after scouting only 4 different countries and signing about 10 youth players to the 1st team with similar stats.

I also find the height and weights inconsistent. I have a 6'6" CDM and a 5'2" CB. Not that it matters that much right now, but wouldn't they try to give realistic sizes (i.e. tall defenders and some tall strikers? smaller wingers and midfielders? obviously with outliers in each group)

I'm also struggling to loan the youth players right now, I'm only paying £500/week, £800/week at the most, all of them are between 16-19 y/o and no one wants them. I have an 18 y/o 75 CDM I'm trying to loan and I got zero offers. He is a steal at £500/week...

How long do you send scouts out to recruit? And when do you decide to recall them?

i always do this

man i just hired my first 3/3 scout and in his 2nd month he found a guy with 82-94 potential who is a 67 OVR at 16

i just have this feeling it's going to be too damn easy with a 5/5 scout

i did sell my first $5M player. a 19 year old striker i picked up for $2.5M in january who got mad i didn't start him, so he demanded to be listed and i did in july and real offered $5M for him. MOVING ON UP

oh, and my 6-8 ST who is a 76 at 22 is a "speedster" who is about to top 90 in speed and acceleration

I am annoyed that the game won't actually change stadium names. I'm also annoyed that the fricking Saudi league is in the game and the Turkish league is not.

They need more stadium licenses. How can a game like NCAA have 120+ real stadiums and FIFA, which encompasses the entire world, only get a small amount?

I swear. I have no reason to make it up. I just would go straight down the pitch and score. Barca gave me so much room to play it was stupid. Their backline was horrible. Overhead balls were a breeze to score on. I have no idea why.

The most I have ever scored on a computer before was 8 or 9. If the game has a played where it shows recent results, then I will take a picture of it.

Would not expect anything less.
