Anyone into DCS (Digital Combat Simulator)?

I always played Flight Simulator and Janes USAF but recently purchased DCS with the Flaming Cliffs 3 module. The graphics are amazing out of the box compared to FSX (even with all the tweaks). Are there any "must have" modules or extras? It looks like 2.0 is slow to update any new modules and everything is still running off 1.5. I initially downloaded 2.0 but then realized there was only one module for it (Nevada).


I am still trying to figure out how to properly set up my joystick configuration so that I am not having to use my keyboard for all the switches but it seems like each task has multiple keys to do a simple task. For those of you that regularly play it, is there something I am missing with setting the control configuration or is this one of those ultra realistic games where each task must be properly set up to play?
