If you do get a rookie, I say either Victor Oladipo or Ben Mclemore. Oladipo is just nasty on that 2k. Mclemore is an all around player. Good off ball defense, can spot up and jam it in on someone every now and then.

If Paul George is then when you pick, TAKE HIM! By far the most over rated in the game. He plays like he has finisher but really doesn't. Might want to get a decent big man as well. Can't win if you can't rebound.

As far as gameplay, get the easiest buckets you can, layups/dunks and fast break points. Only settle for the 3 if you have someone you know can hit it. And Orlando Johnson is a beast in 2k as well. People overlook him because he's only 80 overall and his name isn't out yet. His shot off the dribble is cash. Stay in the passing lanes and lock down the paint. They can't win in they can't score.

well I fell to a spot where I wasn't familiar with who to get so here it is starting line up

Jrue Holiday
O.J. Mayo
M. Kidd-Gilchrist
Scola
A. Blatche

bench- J.J.Reddick, Austin Rivers, Shane Battier, A. Barganani, Beno Udrih

Probable 1 or 2 more just can't remember them off the top of my head. I played one game and I didn't do too well. Maybe you guys can point me in the right direction.

drop from the Online League. That's an absolutely horrible team. How many people are in this, and who was your first round pick? I am guessing Jrue was your first pick?

The 1st thing I recommend, and boy do I, TRADE JRUE HOLIDAY! Drafting him was one of the worst mistakes I've made yet in 2K14. Not that he's bad or anything, (Ok fine, he's bad.) he just doesn't fit what I myself do and I run as simple offense as possible: Get to the rim, only take the 3 if I know I can make it. Sounds simple but hey if it helps me get to 47-19 then I'll run it until I can't run it no more.

I'd say maybe trade him for a player you can develop such as Vic Oladipo. Maybe Oladipo and a 2nd for Holiday. Or maybe even Jrue for Jamal Crawford. (Trust me, you won't miss him) Even if Jrue is your franchise player, I can almost guarantee you will be better off with moving him while he has good value. What were his stats the first game? Maybe you can persuade someone to take him off your hands. Your weak areas are big men though. Try trading for some lower rated players such Ian Mahinmi of the Pacers. Some possible trade suggestions are : Udrih and a 2nd rounder for Mahinmi. Or you could try for a decent PF since you have Louis Scola starting which is a problem . Andray Blatch is a pretty good center to start.

But yea man if you could move Holiday for a quality big, or quality 2 then I say go for it. If I were you though, I would Mayo and Kidd-Gilchrist. They'll pay off in the long run.

Younger guys I like to use who people put "low value" into:

Gerald Green
Orlando Johnson
Ian Mahinmi
Lance Stephenson

Those are just a few; I'll name the rest once I get on 2K and look at the rosters again.

Is your defense struggling or is it your offense? From the looks of it, it's defense. Don't be scared to double team them once every 3-5 times they go down court. You'll force a bad pass every now and then and may get lucky forcing a turnover more often than not. The important thing to know is who you're playing and who you're guarding them with. If they have a lineup with mainly 3 shooters, hit pause, go to coach settings, defensive settings and adjust accordingly to who you're playing.

Also, what system you on?

I played two games last night, I stopped playing the first game because my team was so bad and I rage quit the second. I have no rebounding, my guys can't hit any shots at all. frick this team!!! lol. Holiday had like 10 points the first game. But the italian player hit 5 3's in a row so that's good.

system- 360, so specifically who should I trade Jrue for because I only know of like 5 players in NBA lol

not sure which is worse, honestly.

that team would probably go 4-78 if you simulated the year.

1. Drive into the lane/pick and roll.
2. Look for easy lay up.
3. Dish to

Jrue and a 1st, maybe 2 1st for Paul George
Jrue and a 1stfor Rudy Gay
jrue for roy Hibbert and another player
jrue for deron williams
jrue and a 1st for Lamarcus Aldridge
Jrue and a 1st for Damian lillaird (sorry if spelled wrong)
Jrue and 2 1st for Dwight Howard or James Harden.
just a few off top of my head but im sure either will be accepted

Try the paul George one 1st
then try for Vic oladipo. May have to do jrue and a 2nd for oladipo though

Ok I got a trade going

Kyle Lowery and Oladipo for Mayo and Scola and 1st round pick

Mayo is fricking garbage he can't hit a 3 and won't defend.

After that, i'm trading Jrue and some no name for Griffin and some no name. good deal? I need a PF bad

Lowry and Oladipo for Scola and Mayo was a GREAT DEAL! Now you're talking! If talking about Blake Griffin, then GREAT DEAL once again! Blake is an automatic dunk in 2k. Maybe better in game than IRL but in the game, Jrue is garbage. But yea great deals. I like those trades

the only thing Griffin is good for is dunks. He can't do much else. Maybe rebounding. However, your need for a Forward far outweighs your need for Jrue.

ETA: I would look at getting another PG or at least a combo 1/2 guard to fill the bench. Udrih is really not good at all, and Reddick will be your starter. With the Griffin trade, see if you can't grab a Center or something. Blatche is your only one unless Bargnani is a C too.

I say it's a good trade because he's getting Lowry in another deal. Blake Griffin is one of the most overrated players in the game. Mainly dunking but also good about 8 boards, 3 blocks a game. That's 5 minute quarter games in quick match. He pretty averaged somewhere around those numbers depending on if my opponent uses him or not. Pretty good deal for what he's moving

Trade Gordon and a pick to the 76ers for Noel.

Noel and Davis down low are monsters. Rebounds and blocks galore. Tyreke at the 3, Rivers is beastly at the 2 with hitting threes and Morrow the same coming off the bench.
