Anyone getting Titanfall 2?

Titanfall 2 is coming out Friday, anyone getting it? I bought it on PS4 because I suck at mouse/keyboard and did well during the technical alpha. I fear this game will be lost in the shuffle since Battlefield and Call of Duty are coming out around the same time.

That makes sense because I had no idea this game was coming out

Imma grab it for PC I think.
It looks good, and early reviews are great so far as well. People are enjoying it.
Played the Alpha too and had fun.

I'd like to but will probably wait. Really enjoyed the first one. It has the futuristic feel that the new COD's have but not as frantic and claustrophobic. Actually works.

Will probably pick it up for the campaign at some point.
Don't give a shite about multi-player. I have Overwatch for that fix.

Kind of..........not how you're supposed to approach Titanfall

You play how you want and I'll play how I want.
Same goes for BF and COD. Don't care about multiplayer at all.

What I'm saying is they totally didn't do a campaign the first game, or what they had was just a different version of MP. They are actually doing one now, and I don't know how it will fair, but Titanfall is pretty much known as a MP game only.
So.......it was a joke, baw.

CoD always has a solid campaign. Battlefield campaigns are garbage. Who knows what Titanfall's campaign will be like

With them making an effort, who's to say. Not sure how much Vince had a hand in the COD campaigns at IW, but those were pretty fun.
FTR, hearing the BF1 campaign is legit good. They finally got it right.

I'm not likely to buy it until it goes on sale a bit.
I bought the original Titanfall and put about 500 hours into the game. I never felt that the game was justified at $60, as the content was extremely limited. That being said, I loved the original and it remains my most played game on XB1.
I absolutely hated the alpha of TF2, though. They tried too hard and screwed up the mechanics of what made the original so fun. The fluid motion of the original was gone and the highlighting of enemy players eliminates any potential of covert sniping.
Unless I can be convinced that the $60 price point is justified by the amount of content (4 hour campaign seems weak), I'll wait for it to fall down to $30 or so before buying.

I don't understand why they are releasing it now

That is about 12 cents per hour of entertainment. I think you got your money's worth

People like the concept of the multiple war stories, but it's still lazily done in comparison to CoD.

As of now, probably not. I'll see how the reviews come out. I was not a fan of the beta. I loved the first one, but the beta wasn't great, not enough to justify it to me. Now, they've come out and said they were making a good number of changes after that beta, so we'll see. Definitely won't be a launch purchase.

I'm about 250 hours into Rocket League and will probably hit 500 on this one eventually as well. Based on the content included, I think the $20 price point was fair. That's my point. If I had paid $60 for a game worth $20, I'd be annoyed.
TF1 should have been priced at $30-$40 at launch based on what was included. While it had high replayability for me, it didn't take long for someone to run out of things to do in it. Knowing what I know now and still enjoying the game, I don't think I'd pay $60 for it again.

I've seen several people say this and I thought it felt the same. I didn't play 500 hours of the original though. Honestly, I felt like people heard about changes to the game and then complained about them during the alpha.
I will say that if the AI troops aren't in all the modes like the original, then I think that could be a problem. If I recall correctly they were using Microsoft's Azure (?) cloud computing to enable the AI players. They may have had to remove that now that it's multiplatform.

This board loves GiantBomb and Jeff gave it 5/5 stars today.

For my part, Titanfall 2 improves greatly upon the first game and stands up there alongside some of my favorite games in the Call of Duty franchise.

Most reviews are out and it's doing well. Campaign is about 8 hours.
