The games are fun and pretty absurd. Dead Rising 3 kind of tried to take a more serious approach to the storytelling while retaining absurdist aspects and the game suffered for it. I hope they go back to the formula that made 1 and 2 great.

Never played the first one. Dead Rising 2 was overly repetitive to the point where I just uninstalled it. Glad I didn't pay for it.
But when the new one was announced for next-gen. I was so hyped because it looked badass. But it was repetitive once again. So idk if I'll even bother with 4

I'm all about some dead rising.
Although I echo the sentiments about dead rising 3. This series is at its best when it's loud and proud with the absurdity. No grittiness is permitted.

I guess since I basically played all of 3 in Co-op I loved it. I never really played much attention to the story, but the game was shite tons of fun, which is largely all that matters to me.
