i read the best point to start it to where it makes the most sense and you wont miss anything is the start of act 3. i posted an ign link on the previous page that explains when best to start it.
just got through the heist mission in act 1 where shite hits the fan. did several side gigs before hand so im up to level 12. really enjoying it so far

Holy balls. My character sucks. It took me so long to kill the Chimera. I think I died more on that damn thing than all of my previous playthroughs and that isn't hyperbole.

Went on a 9 hour bender yesterday. I love this game. The side missions and gigs are so well done just like they were in Witcher 3. I’ve only had 2 bugs but neither were game breaking, 1 was during one of the epistography side missions I had to follow the cab and it flipped over before it reached its destination which haulted the mission and I had to just restart it
I didn’t play the game before the update but I don’t see how anybody could said the world is boring and lifeless. Night city is amazing and so immersive. From the design of the “afterlife” bar to the layout of the “badlands” it’s all great. You can visibly tell when you cross into a different section of the map, they’re all unique and have their own gangs. When i first got Jackie’s bike I just rode around at night in the rain jamming to one of the edm stations and exploring forever lol

It really is one of the most impressive game worlds I have ever seen. I truly don't know what people expect from a game anymore.

But on a less serious matter...is anyone experiencing frame rate drops at random points in the game after 2.01?
At times, I'll drop from 70-80 fps to sub 40 for a bit, even sub 20 when first opening the menu. Sometimes it clears up on its own, other times I'll close the game and restart it. My first suspicion was the CPU being used by some other application, but a quick investigation of Task Manager while this is happening has shown no proof. It definitely wasn't happening pre-2.01. I played substantially in 1.63 and 2.0.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

updating my amd drivers and turning off cross platform progression in gameplay settings helped that issue for me

I'm on nvidia but your post made me look, and what'll you know. I have an update from 10/10 that I didn't do.
I don't play cross platform so I guess I can turn that off too.

What a journey. 55 hours in and I've cleared all NCPD scanners and side gigs with the exception of one for Reyes that unlocks later. Level 54 and just at the beginning of Act 1. Time to clear all the side jobs available to me now and then I can finally resume the main quest.
Re: katana build, I didn't go with the dash unlocks but starting to think I might roll back some dumb perks and make use of the dashes. Looked fun. But I do use katana heavily.

Up to level 20. Having fun doing Regina side gigs and ncpd assaults.
Have 15 reflex for sub machine gun , but I’ve recently discovered how awesome throwing knives are. Going to put more into Cool and have fun with those.
Silenced pistol, throwing knife, then SMG.
I see I can refund perk points but only get one attribute point respec? Don’t think I want to use that yet.
