Any way to track a stolen Xbox one?

So my gf's little brother flies into Dallas from South Dakota and his bag was loaded on a flight to San Antonio and from there the baggage was lost. Baggage was recovered and delivered to my door step today, low & behold his xbox one has been stolen out of his bag. Can the xbox be tracked to a location if someone tries to get online with it?
Just so u know the kid is 14 & apparently misunderstood about putting it in a carry on bag.

Yes, but you have would have to go through MS to track where it is reporting online from. I think.

Yea I'm in the process of getting the serial # off of the packaging box so I can report this to MS, then I plan on making a police report here at home since this is the bags final stop. This thing seriously though could be in South Dakota from the original spot, Denver he switched planes, Dallas were he had 2 flights cancelled to San Antonio but the bags kept going, we went and got him in Dallas from Shreveport, bags were flown back to Dallas from San Antonio then to Shreveport. This xbox could be in F ing Mexico by now who knows.

After you file a claim also call customer service and speak to them.
We flew American Airline, first 2 flights they let us take our stroller, third they made us check it.
We had damage to the cup holder and they were lost while checked.
Airline told us we could go back to the airport to file a claim for the damage, but they also gave us a 500 dollar voucher.
Think it was worth the hassle
