Lmao that you think 2K fans have anything to be insecure about. Nba live since it's reboot has been one of the worst video games in history of sports. It's so bad. Why continue to make it at this point. Give it up

I don't play NBA basketball games, but why exactly would someone be insecure about liking one particular game over another? That's one of the more asinine things that anyone has ever said.

Everyone knows live sucks outside of Pro Am. They even took last year off. But 2k fans will be here to tell you all about why Live sucks. They're like Kentucky fans breaking UL news on the MSB.

The thing is NBA Live is and has always been terrible. EA is just so money hungry that they would rather take resources away from Madden and FIFA so they can get a piece of the NBA pie. But they're too stupid to realize no one will buy it.
2K has more modes, deeper modes, better gameplay, and looks 1000x better than Live. And this is why EA was voted the worst company in America.

EA is fine, mostly. They've gotten very lazy tho in terms of their franchise modes. NBA Live's franchise mode is madden's just reskinned. Now basketball fans will see how lazy they are
I wouldn't tout 2K's deep modes. MyLeague and MyGm are shite considering the stats aren't realistic and the player generated has been broken AF for at least 2 years. If you disagree with me then I'd ask why 2K felt the need to revamp their generator?

If 2k could have only kept their NFL licensing Madden would be long dead by now. The last 2k football game was amazing and cutting edge for it's time.

The best part about NFL 2K5 was they released it for only $25 brand new. EA could try something like that with NBA Live, but they won't. It was $40 with a pre-order though.
For what it's worth, I have enjoyed NBA Live starting with 15 and each iteration since then has been an improvement. I don't watch a lot of basketball, so I'm not familiar with a lot of the finer details of the sport, but Live is really easy to just pick up and play. I find that's not so much the case with 2K.
