Halo was just a continuation of the path already set. Good game and some iconic maps though.

Halo is the only reaosn Xbox survived. Without Halo we don't get the 360 or the One and there is no console war to keep the quality of systems up.

Oh, the hours this game got from me.. Had a crazy arse Vietnamese friend in middle school. First time I ever went to his house, within an hour of me being there, I witnessed a fist fight between him and his little brother over "screen-watching".. Kitchen knives were brandished, strange tongues were shouted.. good times.

I have plenty of great memories of this game:
-Playing in a 16 player FFA at our local Movie Gallery and going 17-1.......and writing "17-1" in marker on my friend's hood.
-Doing 5 lives TDM on Boarding Action and it being down to 2v1, and the lone guy on the other team was hiding from us. We spent 15 minutes looking for him. I finally spotted him and said out loud "there he is", then hearing "OH shite" from the other room
-Always starting our LAN parties with a FFA rocket match to 50 on Prisoner.
-No shield shotties on Chiron.
-3 head shot kills with the pistol to take out a tank driver.
-Capture the Flag on Blood gulch, capturing the flag but not being able to score because your flag wasn't at the base, so you'd get in a ghost and hide in the hills until your team recovered it. In CE they wouldn't show the flag when you had it in a vehicle so it never stood out.
-FFA, invisibility, 5 lives, Blood Gulch, Warthog destruction derby. The physics in this game were stupid good, so going head on with a warthog could produce some high flying results. Object of the game was to knock the other player out of his vehicle and run him over. We added invisibility to make it more challenging.
-However, the one that always stands out to me is when we would play with this really quirky friend of ours and whenever he'd run around with the shotty and pistol he'd switch weapons over and over and yell "big circle, little circle, big circle, little circle...".

OG xbox is the only way to do it. I think I mentioned it before that the 360 would play it and lan up, but it added some jank.

master chief collection is really fun for the campaigns. The multiplayer got pretty jacked up, but as far as the campaign is concerned, it was a blast. The option to switch between upgraded and original graphics on the fly was awesome.
