That knife is awesome. Wow.

Food related, the entire family bought each other Peche gift cards hahahhaha. Like, some of us gave Peche cards and then received them from the same people.

Totally wasn't planned. We just all love Peche.

I'll be bringing back some of my mom's cast iron pieces--9 inch pan and a 3-quart pot with cover. She doesn't cook much now a days and my sister only wants her Magnalite.

Same thing happened to us. Siblings all walked out with a Link group gift card. I received one for Upperline and Kim Anh as well.

As far as kitchen goodies, I ended up with a 6 qt lodge enameled dutch oven, a new roux spoon, some LA1 whiskey, assorted beers, and a brew pot. My dad and I also got a dehydrator.

You'll have fun with this. Jerky and dried peppers are the go-to so far, but I do want to do apples and bananas.

so a bunch of stuff for that, baking thermometer, flour sifter, a pie crust shield and some pans. I'm pleased

I envy anyone with the patience to bake seriously. Baking requires more precision to do well than I am willing to apply. I treat cooking like an art when it comes to measuring ingredients, while baking needs the accuracy of science. I hope you, and those you bake for, get good use from your gifts, they would be wasted on me if I received them.

I couldn't have done it years ago. As I've aged, like a fine wine, my focus is perfect for it.

I really don't take pics of stuff but I should. I made the best damn german chocolate cake I've ever had in my life for Christmas and a old fashioned pecan pie. Both all gone already

and that was before the gadgets, can't wait for the weekend, looking for recipes now
