I agree, it's great but most people can't get past the idea of eating rodents.

You say that, but you really don't. It is a very clean, very delicious meat.

It is literally a cleaner less gamey rabbit meat.

I eat squirrels but didn't care for nutria. To watery is how I would describe it. There was a big push about ten years ago but never caught on.

bro, you could wrap a turd in bacon and it would probably taste great. Thats cause bacon is heaven. Not the nutria.

I've eaten nutria enough to know that if given the choice between it and beef, I'm choosing beef. Yes, the nutria is good. But its not good enough to overcome the stigma associated with it.
Horse and dog is also (supposedly) very good, but people don't want to eat them in this country. Same for insects.

because its last name is "rat"

thats pretty much it, if it was just called a nutria more people would be willing to eat it but most people cant get past eating anything with rat in its name
