who has the best plate lunch in baton rouge?

I say hands down the stockyard. The place is a dump, but the food is great. That woman can cook. Eight bucks including drink and tax. It can't be beat.

Poche's is good if you get there at 11am before the meat starts to dry out. The smoked meats are great and they occasionally have pork backbone stew.

Forgot about Cafe Express. Good stuff.
Had Bellue's a couple years back and didn't care for it. Doesn't surprise me that it closed.
