Holy fricking shite GT. I know where I am going for the zombie apocalypse.

I've got some but felt I needed something new. Was going to head to Martins tomorrow and see what was interesting.

The way I figure it is the demand for quality whiskey has gone up rapidly and in most industries when demand is high corners get cut and quality drops off. So if I dont get hit by a train, I will have some quality stuff to enjoy later.

Y'all ever use these guys? Use this instead of ice sometimes. If my wife is mad I don't need these.

Rum drinkers, what reasonably priced bottles do you recommend?

I don't know a whole lot about rum but the 23 yr Ron Zacapa and 18 yr Botran from Guatemala I have really enjoyed.

Most people think of the Bahamas or Jamaica when they think of rum but Guatemala has some excellent rums.

Fun facts about Guatemalan Rum

It is made from the first pressing of sugar cane, not molasses.
Barrels are stored upright, rather than on their side, due to the frequency of earthquakes in Guatemala.
Botran uses sugar cane harvested in the beginning of the year, while the Zacapa brand uses cane harvested at the end of the year.
Guatemala has rich, volcanic soils and a climate that is perfect for sugar cane production.
