The original South of Philly on Sherwood was awesome when they first opened. It went down hill. Never been to the other location. Now Philly Me Up is my go to. They make a good sammich.

PMU, I’m pretty sure they use bread from Amoroso Bakery in Philadelphia. Amoroso bread is a must, it’s the perfect texture and actually taste good unlike a lot of bread.

There was a place over in that shopping center by Buffalo Wild Wings. I can’t remember the name of it, but I think tyrus was part owner. I believe it closed a while back though

It's been years but I loved PMU back in the day. It was on par with Philly Cheese Steaks I've had on the east coast.

Yeah, this one has been coming since before Covid. Hope its good stuff. I couldn't tell if it was a chain or not by the name (never looked into it).

It is, as is the joint that took it's place. There's several cursed restaurants on Sherwood, and that seems to be one of them.

Jersey Mike's is the only decent one in Dallas I've had. They have Texadelphia and it's not very good. Any Texas baws know a place inside the loop?
