I'm thinking Sammy's. Any good? Open to other suggestions.

Not looking for a national chain place and burnt out on Chimes but looking around that price range.

I like Sammy's. It's part of my cycle when I come to BR.

I also like certain things at ACME, although it is not beloved by the board.

I've been wanting to try Atcha Bakery and the El Salvadorian place on Nicholson next to campus.
Two hole in the wall looking places.

Sammy's is very good, and very crowded for good reason. All of the food is done well and priced affordably.

Quoted for truth.
Atcha is good, but its a real hole in the wall. Like you go there for a cheap midweek lunch, not dinner.

Atcha's alright. It's cheap and satisfying, but nowhere near as good as Albasha's.

Some other "hole in the wall"s in that vein include: South of Philly, Capitol City Crawfish, La Morenita, La Tiendita, Belleu's, Thai Pepper, Delpit's Chicken Shack, AM Mart, ect

I've never tried the El Salvadorian place, but the write up on it looked really tasty.

Beausoleil is a solid choice if you've never been. It's different than the typical "fried seafood and steaks and sandwiches" places that you find all over Baton Rouge.

It's probably more on the higher end of the Sammy's/Chimes price range, though. Their average entree is going to be around the price of a seafood platter at Sammy's/Chimes, but the food is also a step above those places.

Sammy's blows. I like the Beausoleil recommendation.

It used to be a food truck around that area.
I've had it before... just not since they moved into the building.

Good call. I whiffed on that one. Really have enjoyed it every time I've been.

You should hit up Zorba's.

I had dinner there last night and it was very good.

Ended up going with a group that wanted to go to Lava Cantina. I didn't feel like objecting so I just went with it.

It was ok. Not really what I was in the mood for, but it was ok.

Probably gonna hit up something more barsy than culinary for the game tomorrow night. Thinking 3rd street since I live in Spanish town and can walk.
