Sautéed shrimp invention. Olive oil, coconut oil, Dijón mustard and diced garlic, receives a passelful of full shrimp, red grapefruit juice and cilantro (the woman loves it, I prefer parsley, but that´s our nod to Cinco de Mayo, isn´t it?).

Baked sweet potato fries.
Awesome green salad.
IPAs.

Some shitty movie will accompany.

The gravy had this off-putting metallic taste. Guessing from the beer? My wife couldn't even finish. Tonight's dinner was a failure.

Weird.

Don't you hate when you fail at something while cooking? Made a perfect rice and gravy last week from floured round steak bits.

Tried to do the same last night form the brown bits on the cast iron from Jones browning the pot roast, but he did it in a cast iron that hadn't been scrubbed enough so I got BLACK bits instead of brown. Not a good taste. Plus, the roast being unfloured meant no roux.

Will not make the same mistake again.
