Ruth's Chris in BR with my uncle. Will report back later.
Not a bad night at all. Sat next to Morgan Fairchild and another table full of Shreveport "big wigs" (in their own minds, I'm sure).
My meal consisted of:
beef carpaccio - fricking phenomenal. I couldn't have had two servings of this dish it was so good. one complaint was there wasn't quite enough diced red onion. delicious nonetheless.
shrimp w/ remoulade and cocktail sauce. nothing spectacular, but the shrimp weren't cooked improperly and the cocktail sauce was spot on.
17 oz. NY strip (med rare). cooked just to my liking and had a great flavor, but suffered from being a touch too salty.
side was their creamed spinach. very poor effort with this one. it was bland, lacking seasoning and could've used some butter or something else to round it out. was very flat.
also had a gin martini up w/ 3 olives and a nice glass of Malbec with my steak
