I will be there for a conference for 4 days next month and need some good places to eat. Nothing that will break the bank, but no crap either..I'm not paying for it. :-) I'll be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown if you need a frame of reference. Thanks!

You'll be right near Old Ebbitt Grill.It's old (1850's I think), Patriotic, and not crap.

Just don't forget to make a reservation.

Don't think I have ever seen a more crowded restaurant in my life. I have only been once but I can personally recommend Jaleo, Brasserie Beck, and PS 7. Rasika is a very highly recommended Indian restaurant but we didn't have time to make it there.
