OK,
As usual, the competition is tough and I had another hard time picking.
I have a suggestion, how about each entry needs to say what their next ingredient would be. Or they need to pick a number from 1 to 10. Anything that may help pick a winner in the future.

Well, maybe not.

Great job everyone. But my winners are…….

Jax-Tiger - Pork Carnitas Tacos with chargrilled Corn Salsa,
Darla Hood - Tacos de Alambre
LouisianaLady - Cheese and Onion Enchiladas con Carne
MeridianDog - Creamy Chicken Chili Relleno soup

Look up how to make it properly. Barone's version is like when you see a yankee try to make gumbo.

I guess ZappasStache thinks the food challenge entries should be classic recipes and not creative unique ideas. It’s easy to say you don’t cook something right when you don’t back it up with details.

Spent a few days reading various recipes and then created one my own way.

Can you please share a recipe that you are referencing? Or at the very least, share WHY you don’t think it’s up to par.

The biggest issue is frying the tortillas crisp. They should be softened in hot oil but not crisp. Now maybe they are good the way you cooked them but maybe saying you are trying something different would clarify for others, like the poster I responded to, that crisping them is not traditional
