Following on the earlier thread about today's WroundUp, I stopped by tonight and picked up some intel on Curbside's truck.

It's alive and well. Don't know why it's such a state-secret; but I'll go all "Edward Snowden" and say that besides taking care of Barcadia down in NOLA, they have been doing private catering with the truck. Think "f-i-l-m" catering. Maybe the Hollywood types don't want their buddies to know they eat -- much less like -- a good greasy hamburger.

And yes, they're working on staffing the truck for a return to regular service for the proletariat.

WroundUp had a nice crowd tonight at Highland Baptist, by the way. Helped that there are TREES there to keep the temp below 7,421 degrees.

Tell them to hurry the hell up on getting the truck back on a normal rotation.

So what trucks where out there tonight? They come and go so much I'm not sure who is still around.

Fleur de Licious (was sold out by the time I got there), Pullin' Pork, Grill-something, Taco de Paco as always, and CC coffee truck. May have been more earlier. No beer trucks, as I remind you of the location

I'd guess they're making their frozen coffee too.

I miss the Cuban truck. Fact is the food truck deal is probably dead. They had a decent run I guess.

I talked to Bogdan at Dolce Vita yesterday and he's waiting on the insurance from the wreck and might open a brick and mortar if he can find the right place, but if not, the truck is definitely coming back.

Man, I wish he could get a good location and kill it being the only wood-fired pizza in Baton Rouge and being great pizza on top of it.
