I am starting to put together our SB plans and my son asked about having crayfish. Are any available back in the motherland?

They are available, but they are small and expensive.

Had some today in Metairie, and the size wasn't horrible. They did cost an arm and a leg though......I think the lives ones were $2.80/lb.
