Tillamook Ice Cream- it is better than Bluebell.

no artificial flavors or sweeteners, no synthetic colors, and no high fructose corn syrup.
IMO, Tillamook is just so much better, but people are addicted to the sugar taste in Bluebell.
Tillamook:
INGREDIENTS: CREAM, SKIM MILK, MILK, SUGAR, COCOA (PROCESSED WITH ALKALI), PASTEURIZED EGG YOLKS, TARA GUM, GUAR GUM.
Bluebell: Ingredients: Milk, cream, skim milk, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, vegetable fat
(coconut and/or palm kernel), corn syrup, cocoa (processed with alkali), contains 2% or less of butter oil, artificial color (includes
230
yellow 5, blue 1), cellulose gum, vegetable gums (guar, carrageenan, carob bean), soy lecithin, PGPR emulsifier, vanilla extract,
annatto color, peppermint oil.

Of course it is. Bluebell is pedestrian, on par with store brands. Tillamook is a cut above, as is Breyer's Natural Vanilla (though not most of their other flavors)

Bluebell is completely overrated by people who love the brand because that’s what they know.
It’s a good standard ice cream. I have no complaints about it, but it’s not amazing.
But people love the brand. Even when they had to shut down because they were knowingly running their processing plants without cleaning and they knowingly put their customers safety at risk, people still remained dedicated to them.
It’s like the Mary Lee donut of ice cream.
Anyway, not hate towards Bluebell but I’m not putting them on a pedestal. I’ll have to try Tillamook.

Of course it is, way better ingredients, from an impressive dairy company. I'd almost classify them in a differing class if it weren't similarly priced.
Their Chocolate Mudslide, Malted Vanilla, Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate Mint, Marionberry,etc..all are excellent.
They also make a fabulous line of ice cream sandwiches..which are hard to find.
Blue Bell outside of their Natural Vanilla Bean, is gummy and uses artificial stuff. Though I do love their Cookies and Cream & Moollennium Crunch. Sorry Oatmeal Pie fanboys!

Tillamook ice cream is amazing, Bluebell can't even compete but as mentioned - they're not even in the same category

I’ll have to give it a try.
In my opinion, Graeter’s is also in the conversation. Better, more natural ingredients than Bluebell, and infinitely better in overall quality and taste.

I'd say the same of Tillamook. It has become absurdly overhyped in the same vein crumbl cookie got to. It is fine. Some of their flavors I prefer over other brands, some of their flavors I think are worse.

Yea they have a chocolate penaut butter overlad flavor. Milk chocolate ice cream with small peanut butter cups and peanut butter cookie dough. It is decent, but i'm not a fan of peanut butter cups and stuff in ice cream, they just get too hard when they are frozen. I thought Tillamook's version was better, but it doesn't touch Graeter's buckeye blitz.

We are being very disingenuous here though. Comparing chocolate to chocolate:
Tillamook:
Cream, Skim Milk, Milk, Sugar, Cocoa (processed with alkali), Pasteurized Egg Yolks, Tara Gum, Guar Gum.
Blue Bell:
Milk, skim milk, cream, sugar, cocoa (processed with alkali), cellulose gum, vegetable gums (guar, carrageenan, carob bean), salt.
When you get into some of the more extravagant flavors that blue bell does that Tillamook doesn't even do, yea you are going to start getting into your HFCS and stuff. If that’s something is is super important to you for your ice cream, then by all means go for it and choose accordingly.
