It's fun. Food is okay. The Green Goddess sauce is the shite. It's a fun, different date place.

It's not terrible. You can do the big night out for two with a bottle of wine I bet you make out for $140'ish.

Women dig it. They get off on boiling meat.

you should expect not to feel full after leaving and spending a lot of money

stick a bouillon cube sized piece of meat in hot water
wait 4 minutes
eat in one bite
repeat

The cheese is good for a bite or two. Their wine list is pretty good. Other than that, do cheese fondue at home.

Do not get the lobster upgrade.

If you are from the south expect less than satisfactory taste and a really big bill. Totally not worth it IMO. Bring home a chunk of raw meat or shrimp from Winn Dixie and cook it on your grill. You'll get much better results.

But give the place a try for yourself and let us know what you think.

if you're a student they have a 25$/person deal or you can go at happy hour and get cheese and dessert fondue free when you buy bottle of wine...it's really not worth a whole meal there..you could always buy a pot and do it at home...girls like the place, but this girl is way over it!:) have fun whatever you decide..

You're going to pay more on the weekends. Helpful advice to save a few bucks...change plans and go Mon-Wed (I think) and get the early week special. It's around 60 bucks and you get all four courses + a bottle of Beringer. This was back when I worked there in about 2003, so I might be off. But if you go, I'd recommend paying as little as you can.

Never been to this place.

Do they have special deals and better food for Yankees or something?

Seems odd.

No I was just saying if you are used to very flavorful foods (spicy boiled crawfish vs lobster boiled in plain water) this might not be the place for you since there isnt much flavor to the stock that you cook the food in.

to pay an assload of money to 'boil' chunks of chicken and steak until they are rubbery or else you eat them undercooked. make sure you pay the $6 extra for the 'cajun essence' flavoring in your oil

seriously how this place stays in business is B-E-Y-O-N-D me.

if i'm paying $100 for dinner..i want a fricking chef who knows what he's doing to sear a grade-A+ piece of prime rib and a nice red to wash it down with.

then go to melting pot for dessert to get the chocolate dipped strawberries if your date still wants 'the experience'.

the ONE and ONLY time i ate that that stupid place i stopped by hardee's on the way home and got a thickburger.
