Will be in Baton Rouge this week end and looking for Sunday Brunch recommendations. Have eaten at Another Broke Egg several times but looking for something different.

I agree with Masons. Word of advice. Call ahead when you're about 30 minutes from arriving and they will go ahead and put you on the waiting list.

You've got to beat the Most Blessed Sacrament crowd at Mason's, so go early.

I like The Chimes, Beausoleil, and Parrain's for brunch.

That's why you call ahead, as I stated.

Even without a wait, it's not worth picking it over the 4 above

I started this tread a few weeks back and ask for a good brunch place to eat. After the Western Kentucky game we went to Sammy's and it really doesn't really have much of a brunch menu. In matter of fact most people were ordering off the regular menu. Sammy's was recommended from a local that sits with us at the game.

After the Arkansas game we went to Mason's and got there at 920 and the place was packed and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table because it was 5 of us. Did not take the advice about calling ahead. Got to say the food was really good. Thanks for the recommendations guys.

We normally do Mason's or Bisro Byronz on Perkins but went to Ruffinos last Sunday. Food was off the chain. Best Benidict I've ever had and dabbed into my friends Buscuits and gravy. Bloody Mary actually had more flavor than Mason's, which I crave. Place was jammed and service on point as usual.

I want someone in Baton Rouge to make their own BM at brunch from scratch or close to at least. Everyone uses the same stuff in zing zang which is good but I can make at home. Mason's is a fat persons dream with Smirnoff base, enough additions to make a meal, and a beef jerky straw....sadly not my cup of tea. Give me someone with fresh tomatoes and peppers, balanced seasoning cooked down....I would make that my every Sunday destination when I was in town.

Softshell crab BLT at Juban's.

Grits and Grillades at Beausoliel.

I've tried 2x to do Mason's Brunch, but the crowd is bizzonkers even at 11am.

I will add Mansurs on the Boulevard to the list. Tried it for the first time a few months ago and it was pretty good (got the Grits and Grillades).
