Can yall give me some suggestions on a good fryer to get. I'm looking for something with a digitial temp setting and possibly a filter for easy draining and storing. Looking to spend $200 or less if possible. Thanks

Edit: also would like to be able to fry larger amounts if needed. Are there any that you have the option of running 1g normally or up to like 2g if your frying a lot?

I have used a waring df280 and liked it and may go for that one but I'd like to look at filtered ones or different sizes.

I had seen that one come up in my searching. Do you have this one? I also just saw the 7009 emeril version.

I have the emeril one but it may be discontinued. It's nice and easy to clean. Automatically drains and filters the oil once its cooled down. Just pop the container in the fridge afterwards

I second the T-Fal Emeril edition. We have had ours for about 2 years and have zero complaints. Just make sure not to fill it past the line or it will run over when it drains.

I had seen that it's discontinued now and people were complaining about not being able to get replacement parts for it now.

Looks like the fr8000 is the new version. Wonder what parts they are looking for? Looks like the same thing.

I don't remember the parts they said.

What do Yall think about this one? It claims to have a cool zone under the elements to stop the stuff from burning that sinks to the bottom.

Looks like a good one. I know the cool zone works well in the Cajun fryers.

I've had an earlier model DeLonghi Fryer for probably 10 years or more. Used often and it's still going strong, w/ no issues. The cooling zone, under the element, works as advertised. I've been very happy with mine.

I was going to suggest the Emeril as well, didn't know it was discontinued.

I wound up getting one without a filter. Mainly becasue I was always worried about the drain leaking...and a friend of mine told me that happened to him twice and his dogs got into it. I'll just dump it through a funnel with a screen. I got the waring pro df280. I had borrowed a friends a few times and liked it. Thanks for the suggestions tho!

I paid a fair amount for a DeLonghi a few years ago after much research, but it crapped out after about a year and just a few cooks.

I decided then to treat them as disposable. Bought a $60 model at Target that has already outlasted the DeLonghi.
