I have a few. As a north la redneck, I am looking for help.

Every recipe I have looked at says to either pan or deep fry first, regardless of how served.

Can they be grilled ??

grilled are great, just make sure you know how to clean them and do NOT over cook'em.

Grilled softshell crabs would be awesome. I had this bad boy a week ago at Acme in New Orleans. Combined with a cold Abita Amber...It doesn't get much better in life than that!

How do you clean them prior to grilling or frying?

wash em, pull out the lungs, cut off the front of their face, remove bottom flap.
