if you want easy then cut you up a few russet potatoes about 1/4" thick and put them in a rice cooker. half stick of butter, seasoning, and onions. put a coffee cup of water and press the cook button. when it "dings", perfect everytime.

doesn't get easier than that.

That looks really good but I've never eaten a rutabaga. What's it taste like?

Similar to a turnip, but milder and a little sweeter maybe. I cooked up some (those pictured) a couple weeks ago. First attempt at rutabaga cooking. Was really impressed. Made some for the fam at Thanksgiving and they got ko'd. Try em out. Nice change of pace from the ole potato.

Grilled zucchini or squash. Oil 'em up ( I use canola ), S n P to taste, put on the grill. you can cook these while your steak is resting.

EZ and delish.

Teddy on the show Rescue Me enjoys ice cream with his steak. Specifically,pistachio.
