next in my ongoing quest for good eats in tangipahoa parish
it's on the main drag right before the railroad tracks across from Paul's
we drove by it the other day and decided tonite to give it a shot
despite the terrible name it's an Italian family style place
Tuesday's are pizza and beer nite
10 dollar wood fired pizzas and 1/2 priced beer
we had a mushroom pizza and a chorizo and spinach pizza plus beers and wine, coffee and dessert, 40 bucks plus tip. pizzas were superb, crusty and slightly scorched with a great sauce and fresh toppings, just perfect
really nice place and the main menu is straight up my speed...homemade pastas and Tuscan style entrees. Going back Thursday for pasta
if you live in the area give it a shot

I dunno how, but I've never noticed it, and never heard anyone mention it. I'm excited to check it out though

I believe it's owned by the family of the guy that used to own Ristorante da Piero, which was once in Ponchatoula and then moved to Kenner.
I remember hearing that they were moving back to Ponchatoula to open a restaurant. Someone can, maybe, confirm this or correct me if I'm wrong.

yes, unfortunately
it's ridiculous but the food is great and the dining room is right out of The Godfather
I hope the rest of the menu is as good because there's nothing else like it near my house

My wife and I tried it a few months ago as curious locals. The salad was terrific, the service was amicable. Do NOT order the pork dish, it was laughably horrible. Pork, Thai broth, noodles, bacon garnish.....I thought it sounded interesting and delicious. I was wrong. We had dessert elsewhere
