Got a babysitter for the wife and I to go out tonight, would love to sit outside somewhere with the weather being pretty nice.

Can't think of many places other than Rips and Chimes

anyone got anything?

Not to be sarcastic... but pretty much every casual dining place on the Northshore has outside seating. Just a matter of what type of food you want.

You need a hotel?

Closest one to Abita is gonna be on Hwy 190 in Covington. About a 25 minute drive to MH from there.

You should stay at the Southern Hotel in Downtown Covington. Closer to Abita than on 190. Lots of restaurants and bars within a few blocks.

Yeah southern hotel would be nicer and a smidge closer.

I don't recommend it unless you really want to go all out. It's gonna be way more expensive. More of a get away type of place with the wife or GF. It is pretty sweet though.

If you stay on 190. There is all kinds of food and drinks to be had within a driving and walking distance. Chimes is only a mile or 2 down the road from all the hotels.

not really, unless you are counting cafe lynn's two tables on the sidewalk outside, i guess mi mamacitas and carretas both do, but im not really feeling mexican tonight.

someone mentioned the lakehouse, are they a full on restaurant now? when i got married there they were pretty much just an event spot, with the occasional brunch

Mac's on Boston is great, and they have a small patio setup for outside dining.
