Whenever I travel to Lafayette, my two "can't miss" places are Alesi's Pizza (love their eggplant parmesan) and Poor Boy's Riverside Inn in Broussard (love their whole flounder).

BJ's Poboys are owned by the olde time people. That is what he is referring to.

yep, Glenn Murphree owns Olde Tyme Grocery and BJ's Sandwich Shop - 107 North Morgan in Broussard... same exact menu , they do take checks (likely have to be local) . His wife owns Sandra's Cafe & Health Food on Rena Dr.

OTG was always the standard by which other po-boy places in Lafayette were measured. $8-10 and it filled you up.

I prefer Pops (740 Jefferson St - Downtown) as his debris roast beef po-boy is the real deal. menu

French Press is also a great place for killer groceries from 7a-2p .. b-fast or lunch menu

I would do Bon Temps Grill for dinner - 1312 Verot School Rd Bon Temps Grill

Olde Tyme takes checks and has an 'ATM' on the bar. You request amount of cash you need and it gives you a receipt to turn in at the check out counter to pay for your food/redeem change.

Should try the one at Zydeco if you like real debris roast.

Answering on Big papis behalf since I (obviously) have nothing better to do at the moment but there are multiple locations and the draws are not posted yet.

If you're playing at City Club, there's a new poboy and daiquiri shop that just opened across the street. There's also an Italian rest. Just across from that. Both within walking distance. Ruffinos on the river is just down the street. It is a great place to eat at night.
If you are around downtown, pops is good. There are also several good local pizza places down kaliste saloom.
Hope you don't have to play out in youngsville.

Call for a reservation. We tried to go Monday night and the place was slammed. Had to check my phone to make sure it wasn't Saturday. Unbelievable the jack that place is making.

Yeah, I wouldn't think they were that busy on Monday. We went a couple Saturday's ago and went right in.
