Holy shite, Old Tyme may finally have some competition. Me and the SO split the Cajun Castro(Cuban with collard greens) and surf and turf ( roast beef and oysters), and both were incredible. The surf and turf is one of the best poboys I've ever eaten. If any of you baws are looking for a new lunch spot this is a solid place to add to the list.

I'm a big fan.

Didn't think Old Tyme would ever have competition. They do now. Surf and turf is great.

It's solid, but different from Olde Tyme IMO.

Yes, both poboys, but Olde Tyme does very traditional poboys while Pop's does some pretty extravagant things. The Delcambre Dandy with it's lemon caper sauce is fantastic, but it's far from a traditional shrimp poboy from Olde Tyme. Not saying one is better than the other, but I believe they are different types of places.

Definitely different

But if I was ever jonesing for a po boy there was no doubt I was heading to Old Tyme. Now I'll be deciding between Pops & Old Tyme.

Definitely in that boat every time I'm thinking about snagging one for lunch.

Like I said, the Delcambre Dandy is ridiculous, the crawfish boil sausage is filthy mess but so damn good, and while the Hot Hot is really fricking hot, and I'm not kidding when I say it's hot, it's amazing.

What kind of roast beef is it? Is like sliced Manda or pot roast like Chris'?

Hey, Baw, everyone knows the only good, true poboy places are located in Greater New Orleans.

What kind of bread do they use? Is it "Langlinais-ish"? And where are they located? Sounds like a must try.
