Popeye's Labor Costs

Do they pay all their employees minimum wage? If so, it makes sense. I went to one earlier and there were four employees just loitering around the restaurant not doing anything, just cutting up. There was one kid on the register and another five or so in the back. Meanwhile, it takes about ten minutes for each person to get their food. Talk about an inefficient operation.

I have decided there are two ways to handle fast food and service.
1- Just accept the people working there dont give a shite about anything. Just let it go and forget about it.
2- Be prepared to cuss them up and down and raise hell when they F up. So you will be able to sleep at night and not have to post about it in a Forum on the interwebs.

If these employees had motivation and goals and a committment to service, then they would not be working at a FF joint.

My son picked up an order tonight at Popeyes. While he was waiting for his order he was watching the lady fix the drinks for the car behind him. He said on both drinks the lady filled the cup up took a sip then put the top on.

I stood at the counter once and listened to a young male employee talk to a drive thru customer. I could make out the "welcome to Popeyes. May I take yo order please." But I did not understand one word from either of them from that point forward. It was like listening to a foreign language. Amazing.

Not sure what the wage situation is but it definitely seems like it is a problem that is able to be managed. The Popeye's in Kenner on Williams has excellent service every time you go in.

I can go to a number of fast food places at a similar price point and get excellent service though. Popeyes is notably bad
