That is a question that I ask myself when I pass throuh. About 20 years ago a very good family restaurant was razed for the McDonalds store. In January I took a chance at Tony's BBQ about eight minutes down the road in Liberty. It is on the 90. Satisfactory food, courteous employees, and very clean.

I have nothing of relevance to add to this thread, but I thought I would give it a bump. I lived in Dayton when I was in 1st-3rd grade. If I could fire up the old time machine to 1983-85, I would take you to my favorite burger joint, Dairy Palace. It has been closed for many years, though.

We go to Atascocita, Texas, quite often to visit my sister-in-law, so I will keep an eye on this thread to see if anything good is mentioned.
