Going there for a week during the 4th of july. Any suggestions as to eat? (not too $$$..under $50 per person)
Philly cheese steak, over/under rated? and also where is a good place to get one?

Look for a place called Meme's, ate there a year ago, really good food.

If you have the time go to the Reading Market. It is basically a food market (not a grocery) with all types of choices. This would be a great place to explore for lunch.

I like Jack McDavid's place..Jack's Firehouse
Avoid Genos and Pats and hit Tony Luke's. The best cheesesteaks in the area reside in West Chester at the Pepper Mill, but I doubt you'll be out in those parts. I would also reccomend a stromboli--as big as a hat--at Celebre's (city) or my personal favorite at Little Italy in Pottstown (if west of town).
