Does anyone know if any store in Baton Rouge sells it. A friend of my wife just had a baby girl and she has very bad colic. Another friend of mine from up north says that Goat's Milk can help ease the colic.

Anyway thanks in advance.

I want to say, I purchased some at a farmers market in New Orleans once. You might want to try one of those.

They have it Whole Foods and Walmart.

Babies under 6 months of age should not have anything other than breastmilk or formula unless advised by a doctor.

There is a pharmacy in St. Martinville that supposedly has the best remedy for colic. We were fortunate in that our children did not have it, so I never personnally used the stuff. I believe the place might be Dupuis or Dupois, something like that. Perhaps their doctor will be familiar with it.

Farmer's Market milk- May or may not be pasteurized. Usually you have to "buy cow shares" to purchase raw milk. That's what I have done.

The raw milk is fantastic, and I have never had any problems with getting a bad batch of fresh milk. But I would not take that chance with an infant.

they need to try changing bottles, maybe to one of those bottles that you push the air out as you go. if she's on formula, she can try an iron-free or soy-based formula thats easier on babies stomach. if she's nursing she needs to look at her diet. some babies are allergic to milk, and if mom drinks it, it can affect the baby. goats milk is lacking in things that newborns need. "colic" is often fixed by a change of diet.
