Wouldn't that just french the vegetables, not chop them?

I suppose it would work for onions since mother nature already grew them in layers.

i've done tons of onions with the one in the pic i posted. Chops perfectly.

It just looks like a Potato/Vegetable Frencher to me.

it is. but it works surprisingly well on onions.

If you put the onion in the french fry cutter where the "stem or core" is horizontal, it cuts them perfectly.
