I am going to Anthony's Deli on Government in BR for lunch. I have never been. Sort of a bucket list thing before I leave.

I don't like muffalettas (yeah yeah whatever). So what would you recommend?

I don't understand the love for this place and their Hormel meats.

I'll take Mellow Mushroom's Italian hoagie over Anthony's Italian sandwich or muff any day. Anthony's spaghetti and meatballs was nothing to write home about either; I got two decent meatballs embedded in essentially plain pasta. Overrated.

The meatball sub is all I ever get. The meatballs are so good, and they're small and sliced in half. Plus the sandwich is hot pressed, so it's not this huge crumbly bread.

Im a muffuletta enthusiast and I find Anthony's to be one of the worst I've had.

The italian lover is decent, but fairly boring.

I got the meatball sub and thought it was pretty good. Overpriced though.

Got the meatball sub.

It was overpriced. Good, but overpriced.

I would get the muffaletta as it is the best around, but if you really don't like hot muffs, get the Italian Lover
