4miles eating good!

Young's Double Chocolate Stout poured over some mint chocolate chip ice cream. The munchies have set in. About to take a dip in the pool at my buddy's place.

Finishing the can now.

how we ended up with 2 FBD threads.

Need to put your Lawyering skills to work and fire a cease and desist into their Butts.

It is an outrage and a travesty of epic proportions. We need a preliminary injunction ASAP.

5BD is a La Fin du Monde. I love this beer.

After our homebrew meeting, NBD is a blonde on the JD overpass.

I too quite enjoy it. All of the ones they've released this year have been top notch. Nice and dank, plenty of crisp hops, a little sweetness to go along with the natural bitterness and some nice acidity to brighten it up. I dig it. Will buy more.

I agree. Hitting the rack. I think I'll be in NOLA next week to check out 715. Will let you know.

Eel River Raven's Eye Imperial Stout.

I need a thick, full-bodied stout that's available everywhere. I need the Adele of stouts. Any suggestions?

Yikes. Had that once. Thought it was pretty bad.

Availability is obviously the tough part. Stone's Imperial Russian Stout may be your best bet there. Or what about Souther Tier Choklat? Or ICS? Or Jolly Pumpkin Madrugada Obscura?

Yeah, the Eel River sucked.

We definitely have issues with availability. Choklate amd Mokah are both great. I think I just want something that's equivalent to Ten Fidy. That beautiful thickness. Motor oil consistency. Probably Stone or ICS are my best bets, I agree, but I've never had the Jolly Pumpkin you mentioned.

The Pike Street XXXXX Stout is a widely available option that is seldom consumed.

I'm running out of beer...
Was glad to see the new Leblancs had all the founders in stock though along with Terrapin the other day when I stopped. Means I can get the Leblancs by my house to deliver some....

Has anyone been by Alexander's recently? Last time I went it was kinda bad with the holes on the beer shelves and a few items past date.

I wish that was a staged photo.

Power back on, now I can go to sleep.
