Not so subtle beer brag

I don't typically get so excited about a good beer night since I have been drinking more and more wine. But i just got back from a weekend in Belgium, and had a nice round of beers last night:
Westvleteren 12
Cantillon Kriek
Brouwerij fonteinen oude geuze
Westvleteren 8
Not drank in that order.

It was a special occasion. I normally wouldn't do all that in one night, but I had a good friend over, and we were celebrating.

These are two of my favorites. Not a big fan of the Trappist stuff, but Westy certainly does them well.
If you're a big wine drinker but also enjoy traditional fruited lambic like Kriek, you should seek out Cantillon Saint Lamvinus (French merlot grapes) and Cantillon Vigneronne (Italian Muscat grapes). Both are great. I drank a 2012 Saint Lamvinus on Friday. Definitely one of their best offerings.
