NorthShore folk - Pizza Man

Anyone been to this place? Worth it to go? Review?

Local institution for years. The pizza is very good...but different. I like to order my crust a little more well done than they present it....but the flavors are great and unique. The Pizza Man has been entertaining the kids through the window for 40 years. He works less now, but still makes appearances I believe.

I know this is a subjective topic, but Pizza Man is the best pizza on the Northshore hands down.

Is mcclains pizza any good? I met the owner and his wife the other day, and they were very nice people. CSB.

Mcclains has excellent pizza as well. It has surpassed Coscinos as another favorite. I like the outside deck - lakefront location as well.

I'll go against the grain here...I always heard Pizza Man was great. My wife and I went once and we both thought it was terrible. McClains is not bad pizza.
ETA: My wife and I both felt there was not nearly enough cheese on the pizza and the pizza was falling apart. I really don't want to be the guy using a fork for pizza, but it was necessary. Maybe we caught them on an off night since that was our only trip there.

Like I said. Peoples taste in pizza is subjective.

Pizza Man is good. The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, but the pizza and draft beer are both excellent.

The place is awesome. Nothing fancy, just a family place. The owner has fun with the kids while making the pies. It's also cool that the recipes come from the old Bob's pizza in Houma.

McClains Buffalo Chicken pizza is awesome. Need to try Pizza Man as a trusted friend has recommended.

The Pizza Man is awesome. You can eat a pizza and have a pitcher of beer and then walk over to Fat Tom's to check out some records. The pizza blows Pasquale's away but Pasquale's is right there by the mall with all those stores.
