I have been known to drink a brown on occasion. I love BP, a great place to hang out.

Nola Pizza has a good lunch special, $9.99 for two slices, a small side salad, and a beer.

It’s a very good slice. They are making good pies for sure.

I think the prices are too high for a whole pie but it’s good.

Patron Saint is a cool wine bar too and almost every bottle in there is pretty affordable

Yes. Same owners, same people.

You can get a slice or pie and eat it at PS with wine.

I've yet to find a pizza in New Orleans that I really love. Zee's and Nola Brewing were highly-hyped but slightly disappointing for me. Pizza Delicious was good, not great. Venezia and Tower at least deserve to be in the bracket.

Bumping this to ask if any of you all have tried Mid City Pizza lately.
Was talking to a friend recently who said a new guy owns the place and had worked at several places in NY. Pictures of the pizza look legit. I think I see a deep dish in the photos as well.

Yes the new owner is a Cortello. The Cortello family has owned a few New Orleans restaurants over the years.

I have had the pizza since they took over, its fine.

They upgraded their website I see. Looks like the deep dish is more like Detroit style. I am in that area by Elio’s quite a bit and will check it out.

No Tower, no care.

The wife brought home one of Tower of Pizza's large loaded pizzas a couple weeks ago and 2 slices was all I could eat.

That was very filling and some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. I remember when they had a place on Downman Road back in the 80's and the ex and I would go there at least once a month.

Always been a fan.

Edited to add this:

Artista Pizza on Franklin Ave. that was once next to the Tiger Show was another great pizza place. The area went downhill and the Tiger Show got renamed "Grit" and showed adult flicks for a few years before it went the way of the Dodo bird. There was also a bowling alley in the same location that folded about the same time frame.
