Friend,

We love The Napoleon House, and it is better than ever since the Brennan family bought it. Your children may enjoy visiting for the atmosphere alone. Tell them to keep their eyes open — the opening scene in Disney’s new Haunted Mansion movie which was released yesterday is in The Napoleon House! It is a PG-13 movie due to scary situations, so maybe seeing the movie is not the best idea.

Stanley in Jackson Square is kid friendly and serves one of the best breakfasts and arguably the best oyster poorboy in the city.

Both are quite casual. If you are looking for something more upscale I have always noticed that Brennan’s is very kid friendly. If more casual is desired, Johnny’s Poorboys is open tomorrow. If they want pizza Louisiana Pizza Kitchen is good [when are people going to realize Pizza (not) Delicious is not even a top ten pizza in a pizza desert city like N.O.?]and the Deannie’s in the Quarter is the only Deannie’s that serves their seafood pizza.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Do you want walking distance from there or are you going to drive?

Just head to Felipe’s. Something for everyone.
The Aquarium had 2 food trucks parked in front of it last week when we went. Well, 1 food truck and a snowball truck. The food was NOLAfries which serves OK French fries topped with almost anything imaginable.
The insectarium (and maybe aquarium) also started serving adult drinks; beer, seltzers, etc., which I don’t remember them doing so pre-renovation. Just beware of sticker shock; a 24 oz. can of beer was $20.
