I have #2 from that link. It works pretty good; you "pulse" to grind so you can make it as fine or coarse as you want. Easy to clean, and I've never had any problems with it.

A grinder as cheap as you desire, is not going to last long and will not give you good ground coffee from the get go Mr Kramer.

So angry. Is it safe to recommend a grinder to you?

I just have a regular old Kitchen Aid Blade Grinder. Was around $25 when I got it. Nothing fancy but gets the job done.

How much coffee are you planning to make? If you are planning on coffee for just a few folks, then I'd recommend this puppy:

LINK

You don't need to pay something outrageous for a coffee grinder, especially since you're going for a coarse grind in your press. I've had mine for years and have never had a problem with it.

20 grinder from Wally Wally wally Wally Wally Wally Wally world is the way to go.

I have a French press. The grinder from Walmart has multiple settings. Course is one.

Think its the Mr coffee one.

Also once you start pressing your coffee. You will not go back. Little tedious but worth it

Get number 1.

That's the one I have.

It's great.

Reviews say that krups one only does a fine grind. True?

To get a consistent grind I'd recommend you look at spending a little more and getting a burr grinder. This is the one I have and it works great. It gives you a lot more control over grind size and a much more even grind.

That being said if your not looking to spend that kind of money I have this grinder that works ok for the price. You just have to pay close attention to not over grind.

You can find it as little or as much as you'd like with the krups. So a course grind or a fine grind. It will take you some monkeying with it to figure out how long to grind it for to get your desired consistency. That being said given the nature of the grinder you won't have a perfectly consistent grind. The only reason this really matters for French press is that finely ground coffee can slip through the filter and give the coffee a chalky mouthfeel.

I use mine every morning for the french press and have had no problems with it.

It's just a one button device, so you just don't hold it down as long as you would for your standard coffeemaker grind.

IMO, If you're paying more than $30 for a coffee grinder for pressed coffee, you're a chump.

But whatever floats your boat, I guess.

This, especially if you appreciate real coffee.
