Beausoleil - dressy casual French-inspired food. You don't need to dress up and the atmosphere won't be stiff, but you'll fit in fine if you're dresses up as well. The food in incredible.

Maison Lacour - I haven't been here, but from what I've seen in pictures, heard from friends, and read on the menu.. it's very good. Much more upscale than Beausoleil, and it's actual Frech dishes--rather than French-inspired LA foods.

Mansur's - You seem to already know a good bit about this place.

Those are my suggestions.

I've never been to Roberto's, but I've honestly never had a big desire to go either.
BBQ Shrimp and Grits, Etouffee, Fried Green Tomatoes, Crab Cakes, Fried plates..

I work around foods like that every day, so I tend to not want them on my off days

Where is Maison Lacour? I think I'm deciding to a couple of places we havent been to. It's either Maison Lacour, Mansur's, or Robertos unless someone else has a better suggestion. Thanks for the help.

North Harrell's Ferry just off of Old Hammond. I like Roberto's but Maison Lacour is in a different league, IMO. Stroube's is another good recommendation.

I'll take juban's and manusurs over robertos and maison lacour everytime.

I made a thread about masion lacour while back.. see if you can find it, that was our experience anyways.
I'm just not a big fan of robertos... been 2-3 times... just never lived up to the hype that few people here and that couple others I know IRL tried to make it.
Might of had something to do with the guys sitting beside us wearing cutoff toonces shirt and hats though.. IDK.

Restaurant IPO is serious food. For BR, I would highly recommend it. One of the better spots.
