I know there used to be a place where cake palace is next to red stick on Essen lane... Think it was owned by a football player. Can't remember the name. Anybody remember?

We dined there in the year of our Lord 1991, I believe. I can't remember the name either, but let me think about it (check with my wife) and I'll see what I can come up with.

I think it was originally linebackers, then changed to maybe Jason's?

Both correct.

I think we ate there twice, once when it was Linebackers and once when it was Jason's. I'm not sure when it went under, but I don''t think it was there for very long.

LSUcdro, what made you think about this place?

It was Linebackers for about 36 days and the food sucked. Could have been a great sports bar because it was one of the first in town but man the food blew. Warren Capone hadn't a clue.

Not sure if I ever made it to linebackers, but went to Jason's on the regular and remember enjoying it, actually went there on the first date with Mrs. Tigerpaw. I think it was one of the first places in BR that did not allow smoking?
