So... how does that work? You pay to get in and eat? Or multiple booths selling crawfish?

Probably about like the 100 or so other crawfish festivals of some kind in the state.
Go eat some bugs, drinks some beer, and have fun

crawfishfestival

Evidently they have started charging,

$5.00 General Admission
Hand stamp required for re-entry.

pretty sure it's in the neighborhood of $5-6 lb.

$5 to get in and keep the riff-raff out.

Really good bands.

Crawfish themselves are good but are petty overpriced... but you are getting them at a festival and the money raised is used for a lot of non-profits in the area.

There are carnival rides if that's your thing or your kids thing.

Bunch of other food booths as well. Get the crawfish bread... it's worth standing in line for. There will also be some craft booths.

I'll probably be out there at least one night.

LOL. True.

Well at least then the $5 helps to pay for additional security to deal with the riff-raff

Hasn't been the same in years.

Tons of shady people there.

3 years ago maybe?

It was really bad one year with groups of people just wondering through and starting trouble, so the next year they did a gate fee.
