A couple years ago I made a blackeye/cabbage soup recipe. I think I saw it here. May have been an Emiril recipe? Anyone have an idea?

Smother it down with good smoked sausage and served over rice. Excellent meal.

I make mine just like red beans, and throw in a couple ham hocks. Brown the meat, soften the veg/garlic, add the beans, put the meat back in, add stock to cover, and cook/season until you’re happy with ‘em.

If you need a recipe, Smokin & Grillin with AB has a southern style recipe that is the way I dig mine.

Another vote for Tree’s casserole. It’s fantastic.
