I agree. Nova was a disappointment, but I enjoyed this batch of Bloom.

+1

This batch of Bloom was very good IMO

And as others have said, Holy Roller and Jucifer are nice additions to the South LA IPA rotation.

Ghost definitely isn't for everyone. I like it, but actually prefer Nova Vert.

Not this last batch of Nova, but I’m with you on prior Opus. It’s close though.

Well, I think it's over carbonated and not nearly as good as previous versions

It had it for the first time around Easter. It was very over carbonated and didn’t really taste like anything. I know it’s popular on here and didn’t want be be the guy that shite all over it, but that shite was weak.

OP, Ghost is really good. Last summer, after the initial release, it was fairly easy to find around NO/Metairie.

I saw 4 different six packs of envie in Lake Charles earlier that obviously had the dates rubbed off the bottles. Hah

Not surprised. I saw some with a January date in a cooler. Distributor puts them there. So it's probably them scratching out the dates.

I may be in the minority, but Ghost in the Machine tastes to me like they put a grapefruit in a well worn wool sock and squeezed the juice into a Heineken mixed with a Blue Moon.

How is it not illegal to intentionally scratch off dates, placed by the maker of the beer, then try to sell to the consumer?

I would think some serious talks would need to be had if true. That's pretty messed up. The south coast amber in the same store was 01/18 and Canebrake wasn't dated.

Agreed. After reading this board I was ready to be blown away. Major letdown.
