I've recently become addicted to kim chee.

The other day, I had some on my hamburgers, and they tasted great.

Here's a link to a pretty Korean woman's youtube channel. She makes some really good and interesting dishes.

Kimchi

by far the most common spelling since it's become a dining trend.

but in the end it's a romanization of Korean, so what is really "right" ?...

Did you really just link a 20 year old article?

It doesn't matter what it's spelled like in Korean when we're all speaking English. Kimchi is how it's spelled in English.

Anyhow, Kim Chee isn't even close no matter how you want to argue it.

People who go out of their way to criticize those who "misspell" foreign words that are based on an entirely different alphabet usually look dumber than those they think they are criticizing. The word is nothing but s phonetic rendering. What the OP wrote was perfectly clear. I don't need to link anything, but keep pretending you're a high horse sophisticate, I guess.

He could have been talking about a place named Kim Chee. Let's not pretend like I'm the only one that corrected him.

FWIW kimchi is insanely easy to make.

I don't use the whey and keep the salt as it is. Mix it all together in a big bowl first before moving it to the container to mash it.

Tastes great with eggs.
